Lee Deokgyeong | Busan, Korea

My name is Lee Deokgyeong. I’m a practitioner from Haeundae Meditation Center. For over two years, I worked as a barista, a profession which led to severe wrist pain due to its constant demand. At night, my only relief was to press my wrist with my body. Despite my visits to the hospital, I found little respite beyond temporary relief during physical therapy.

The pain escalated to an unbearable level; it reached a point where I even expressed to my husband the desperate wish to replace my wrist with rubber. “Please, remove my wrist,” I pleaded. The pain was so intense that I found it impossible to work.

In 2015, during a diving lesson with my husband, water entered my ears. I dismissed it at first, believing a quick shake would suffice. However, soon I began to hear unusual sounds, specifically a repetitive “meow”. Initially, the sound was sporadic. But from 2021 onward, every time I lay down at night, my ears echoed with incessant “meow” sounds.

I was tormented by this relentless noise. Despite trying to alleviate the discomfort by pulling my ears, prodding them with a cotton swab, or applying and releasing pressure, the situation only deteriorated. The sound intensified, growing louder and more frantic. Provoking it seemed like a regrettable decision. I felt myself on the brink of a breakdown.

After a medical examination of my brain and ears, the doctor diagnosed it as tinnitus, albeit not a severe case. Taking medication offered me a slight respite, reducing the volume of the sound. However, the noise never completely disappeared.

Then on November 23, 2022, I embarked on a new journey — practicing Energy Bagua. Post initiation, the relentless “meow” in my ears began to lessen. I had been hearing the noise during the day as well, and although not loud, it was still present. However, by the end of December, as long as I was engaged in Energy Bagua, the noise vanished altogether. The transformation was truly miraculous.

In the past, I had to frequently lower my hand due to the pain and discomfort in my wrist while practicing Energy Bagua. But since February 2023, I have been able to maintain my arm position and continue the practice for an entire hour. Gradually, I started to feel lighter.

On March 20th, after four months of Energy Bagua practice, I realized my wrist pain had ceased. Even the tinnitus had disappeared. It felt surreal, like a dream. I discarded all my remaining medication in disbelief. It was a miracle indeed.

My deepest gratitude goes to Grandmaster JinBodhi. Without Energy Bagua, I would have endured a lifetime of tinnitus and wrist pain. Gratitude to Grandmaster JinBodhi.
