Park Myeonghee runs a restaurant that is open from 5 am to 10 am near Busan Children’s Park. The restaurant was famous among netizens. Since it is open for just five hours, not everyone can get there.
We only take two days off a year: Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year. In order to serve customers who come early in the morning, I opened the shop even when I was not feeling well, not realizing how serious my condition was. I opened my shop at 5 am and closed at 10 am, but usually around 8 pm, my ankles began to ache, making it difficult to walk. As well, my lower back would also start aching, making it difficult for me to bend down or lift heavy stuff. I also had varicose veins in my legs, causing uneven blood vessels on my calves. The doctor said they were caused by a blockage in a vein in my thigh, and that’s why it was difficult for me to stand up after squatting without holding onto something.
Decade-long high blood sugar, high blood pressure and hwabyung* led to depression Furthermore, I also have high blood pressure and high blood sugar, and had been taking medication to control them for about 10 years. When I was under a lot of stress, the area below my ribs was very painful, and I couldn’t even touch it. My elbows often hurt, to the point where I couldn’t sleep at night without putting a pillow or blanket under my back. In addition, when I got up in the morning, there was a palm-sized lump in my abdomen that I had to rub out with my hands. The doctor said I had hwabyung, and prescribed antidepressants over seven years to control it. When I was younger, I had eight miscarriages, which took a toll on my body.
*Hwabyung is known as a folk medical term in Korea, indicating a certain physical and emotional suffering.
In mid-April 2019, I started practicing Energy Bagua at Busan Children’s Park every day at 5 pm. After a month of practicing, all the joint pain in my body began to improve. Now, my elbow, ankle, and lower back pain are gone, and I can easily squat.
I had been taking medication to control my blood sugar for 10 years, and I had never heard anything positive from the doctor. Before I started practicing Energy Bagua, the doctor said that I was taking the maximum dosage of medication, and that if my blood sugar didn’t drop, I would need to inject insulin. Unexpectedly, after two months of practicing Energy Bagua, when I went for a check-up, the doctor said that I had recovered exceptionally well, and that I wouldn’t need insulin injections.
I took diabetes medication for 10 years. The doctor didn’t see any improvement. (Before practicing Energy Bagua,) I took the maximum dose and needed insulin injections. Surprisingly, at a checkup 2 months after practicing Energy Bagua, the doctor said I was recovering very well and didn’t need to inject insulin. That’s great! After walking Energy Bagua, my blood sugar level reduced. My fasting glucose level was 200 mg/dL. Now it’s between 100 and 120 mg/dL. My blood pressure was 160/90 mmHg. Now, it’s around 120/70 mmHg.
My fasting blood sugar used to be 200 mg/dL (the normal value is around 70-99 mg/dL), but after practicing Energy Bagua, it dropped to 100-120 mg/dL. My blood pressure used to be 160/90 mmHg (the normal blood pressure for a healthy person is ≤120/80 mmHg), but dropped to 120/70 mmHg.
Prior to practicing Energy Bagua, I took anti-depressants, and I often got angry with my husband when I was in a bad mood. After practicing Energy Bagua, my mood improved, and I no longer got angry. After practicing for four months, I no longer needed anti-depressants. In addition, my ribs used to hurt when lightly touched, but now I can press them without pain. I also lost a lot of weight. Last year, I couldn’t wear this piece of clothing because it was too small for me; now it’s a bit loose! Even better, my big belly has shrunk, and I don’t need to starve myself to lose weight. I can lose weight while eating normally. Since practicing Energy Bagua for six to seven months, I lost five to six kilograms, which is equivalent to losing one kilogram per month.
After my overall health improved, my life became full of joy, which made me happy. Practicing Energy Bagua made me healthier, and I am really grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi! I want people who suffer from illnesses like I did to learn Energy Bagua and live a healthy and happy life like I do.
